We do not have monthly Group Meetings but do occasionally have Special Events. For the remainder of 2009, we have:-

Skid Pan

This has become a popular Annual Event and is held at Goodwood. In the light of the changing road surface conditions between summer and autumn, it is vital that we keep our anti skid skills up to speed. A mature driver friend of mine recently succeeded in turning his car over on  a quiet country lane that I use as part of my Course Associate Test Preparation.

The Skid Pan Course is run by an IAM Member. Our next date is October 17 2009. Should anyone be interested in taking part in 2010 or being put on the Waiting List should we have a cancellation for 2009, please contact Kevin Maguire via our Site Contact Link.

AGM

This is a vital Meeting where Members can hear about the work of the Group and to elect the next year's Committee. It is followed by the opportunity to talk to Committee Members and Light Refreshments are offered.

 This year it is on Thursday December 10 at "The Tree" Annexe in Crawley at 20 00. The Venue is behind the  building at the corner of Crawley High Street and The Boulevard. It may only be approached from the north. From Crawley Fire Station head towards the town centre. Go straight on at the traffic lights and aim for the left slip road at the next traffic lights. Just as the slip begins there is a turning between two buildings which goes to "The Tree". Annexe. Parking is behind the Venue. Should you approach the venue via The Boulevard, than turn left at the traffic lights and at the end and then right into Orchard Street and right again into Peglar Way. Turn right at the traffic lights and then enter the left slip as above. Other car parking is available in front of the Post Office in the Boulevard and other Car Parks.
